1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

No team is in a better spot to go from worst to first than the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay did not have 2-14 talent last year, but got into a terrible spiral that is could not recover from. The Buccaneers were doomed by the terrible play of Josh McCown along with injuries along the lines. Now, with Jameis Winston coming in as the top-overall pick, times are about to change.

The Buccaneers have a terrifying offense. Winston is coming out of a pro-style offense at Florida State, so his adjustment to the NFL should be smooth. The national champion and Heisman Trophy winner is also throwing to Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson on the outside. Few teams can match that firepower, and Winston is equipped to take advantage of that.

Also, the NFC South is terrible. Tampa Bay doesn’t need to do better than 8-8 or 9-7 to have a real chance to dethrone the Carolina Panthers. Carolina won the South at 7-8-1 last year and didn’t noticeably improve, giving the Buccaneers a chance to surprise the masses.
