Unlike the Rockies, the San Francisco Giants are contending for a first-place spot in the NL West and could potentially win their fourth title since 2010.
However, the Giants wouldn’t be where they are today without the leadership and all-around play of Buster Posey. The reliable 28-year-old catcher has been tremendous for the Giants ever since coming to the majors six years ago, posting a career batting average of .307 with a career on-base percentage of .374.
Posey’s 2015 campaign hasn’t been anything to overlook either, as the right-handed catcher has put up a .300 average with 11 home runs, 53 RBI and a .376 on-base percentage. On top of the tremendous offensive output, Buster is second in the MLB in caught-stealing percentage, throwing out 45.5 percent of runners — an incredibly high mark.
