10. team. 39. If the Blue Jays are truly contenders, they will have a chance to show it in the month of July. The team plays 16 of its next 19 games on the road before closing out the month with six at home. Given the fact that Toronto is 16-21 and has a 4.81 team ERA away from Rogers Centre, they’ll have to become road warriors in order to prove they belong in the race.. . Previous: . Toronto Blue Jays

21. Talk about a tough week for the Rays. Three times in their last seven games they’ve had to break up no-hit bid in the seventh inning or later, and the team now sits in a three-way tie for second in the AL East. They have Matt Moore coming back this week, which will make the rotation deeper, but they badly need a bat or two to help get this offense back in order. . . Previous: -3th. Tampa Bay Rays. 9. team

team. 11. Look who now sits atop the American League East! After winning 19 of their last 26 games, Baltimore has stormed to the front of the division. While hitting has been huge for them this month, the team’s bullpen has been the best in baseball during the month of June, posting a collective 2.11 ERA, which is nearly half a run better than the second best pen during that time.. . Previous: +6th. Baltimore Orioles. 8

team. 40. San Francisco aren’t going away in the West and we may have the makings of another great chapter in the Dodgers-Giants rivalry. Third baseman Matt Duffy has come along and helped add some much needed punch to the line-up, hitting .313/.359/.594 and collecting five home runs and 15 RBI in June.. . Previous: +4th. San Francisco Giants. 7

. Previous: +1st. Washington Nationals. 6. team. 90. Max Scherzer has been getting all the publicity for his impressive run, but how about heaping some praise on Stephen Strasburg? Since coming off the DL, Strasburg has allowed just two earned runs over 12 innings of work while striking out 15 against two walks. A healthy Strasburg may give the Nats the ability to trade a Jordan Zimmerman or Tanner Roark in order to add a bat to pair with Bryce Harper.
