5. Trade Kobe To New York

If the Lakers are smart, they’ll cut Kobe off from all inner workings of the franchise’s day-to-day business. They were his franchise, but not anymore. If the Lakers are really smart, they’ll see the panic in New York and trade Kobe to the one guy in the NBA who will probably trade for him — Phil Jackson.

Phil Jackson is so desperate to right the ship that he might be crazy enough to make a trade for Kobe thinking it will fix things. If that’s the case, the Lakers need to make that trade today.
