2. TV Ratings

Just how great would it be for TV ratings to have one of the most talked about young hitters of the season join the contest to showcase his power for the world to see. What’s even better is that he’s playing for a team in one of the most populated cities in the nation, Chicago.

The Cubs have been brought back to life by the young arms and bats on the roster and the city would surely love to see Bryant hitting home runs and showing off for the organization on national television, likely broadcasting the event in local bars and restaurants around the Windy City.

With Bryce Harper backing out of the contest for a few reasons, one being that his dad would be unable to pitch to him due to a recent surgery, the league is looking for another young guy to fill the spot. There is no doubt that the higher-ups of the league are looking seriously at Bryant and I would be shocked to see them pass at the opportunity to add him.

TV ratings will skyrocket with the 23-year-old trying to take down the two-time defending champ in Cincinnati. The fact that it’s also a great home run hitting park is a positive and this could get him back on track since he has only hit five home runs since May 26.
