Toronto Blue Jays: Buyers

Rarely would a team that sits in fourth place in its division at 43-41 go all in on a season, but things are different in the wild AL East. The top four teams are separated by just one game and all should be buying at the deadline.

Perhaps the most interesting team in the division to watch at the deadline is Toronto. The Blue Jays stood pat during the 2013 offseason and 2014 trade deadline, hoping its existing talent would be enough.

That needs to change this year, as it’s a great opportunity for the Blue Jays to finally go all in. Toronto has the best lineup in the majors, but their current window will close rapidly after this season.

The Blue Jays desperately need pitching help everywhere, including an ace-level starter. Adding a package of Johnny Cueto and Aroldis Chapman would make this team a force to be reckoned with.
