NFL 2015: Finding the best player from all 32 teams
This was clearly going to come down to someone on offense, and Dez Bryant stands alone. While Tony Romo merits consideration, Bryant could make an argument as the best receiver in the NFL today. Bryant is in a contract negotiation at the moment, and if he sits out the impact on Dallas’ offense would be massive.
Last year, Bryant caught 88 passes for 1,320 yards and an astonishing 16 touchdowns. With Bryant, the Cowboys can spread the ball around with teams focused so much on the former Oklahoma State star. Bryant has been dominant over his five-year NFL career, totaling over 5,000 yards and 56 touchdowns.
Honorable mention: Tony Romo, Tyron Smith
Few players can come straight out of college and absolutely destroy the NFL. Apparently, Odell Beckham Jr. has that rare ability. The Giants’ 2014 first-round selection missed the first four games with hamstring issues, and then proceeded to amass 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns.
While Beckham Jr. is known for his amazing catch on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys, his best quality was consistency. In 12 games, Beckham Jr. went over 100 receiving yards seven times, including each of the last four games. It is crazy to think, but could he eclipse 2,000 yards in a season at some point?
Honorable mention: Jason Pierre-Paul, Eli Manning
