Prediction

Kyle Busch

Last week at Kentucky, Kyle Busch was a successful prediction as he raced with urgency and understood the stakes that were on the line. This week will be no different as Busch will continue to race with that same desperation as he tries to lock up his spot in “The Chase.”

At 35th in the points standings, Busch has to climb five more spots up into the No. 30 spot if he is going to get in. With two wins, he would just have to run solid races the rest of the way and he should be able to get there. However, with a third win, he would put every other driver on notice that he is a contender as well.

A third win would also all but lock up his spot to compete for the Sprint Cup Championship. Kyle Busch is currently writing one of the most incredible stories to ever be written on the track. Suffering a leg injury that should ended his season or worse, Busch has come back sooner than anyone has ever imagined.

It doesn’t take a Sprint Cup Championship or being in “The Chase” to validate the incredible work that he, his doctors and his crew have done to get him back racing again. Anything now is just bonus and makes the story even greater.

Back to back wins in consecutive weeks would be something special for the No. 18 team. They deserve it, and he will drive his hardest to make sure he gets there.

He will, and all eyes will be on him and his miraculous journey that he is on.
