It looks like there might be a hint of a beef brewing between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift over the MTV VMAs.
Nicki Minaj is not thrilled with the way MTV handled nominations for the Video Music Awards. Specifically that her video for “Feeling Myself” with Beyonce wasn’t nominated and “Anaconda” wasn’t up for Best Video of the Year.
Lol u guys did we miss the deadline?? #MTV? https://t.co/5yUtYZZn3m

Hey guys @MTV thank you for my nominations. 😘😘😘 Did Feeling Myself miss the deadline or...?

If I was a different "kind" of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well. 😊😊😊

When the "other" girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

I'm not always confident. Just tired. Black women influence pop culture so much but are rarely rewarded for it. https://t.co/2xOvJzBXJX

You could say Minaj is throwing shade at another female artist with the words like “slim bodies.” Taylor Swift didn’t necessarily assume those comments were about her, just other women in general, and responded.
Minaj clarified that she wasn’t addressing Swift.
Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this. @taylorswift13

Swift then invited Minaj on stage with her if she wins.
So there you have it, there is no beef between Minaj and Swift. Minaj has now turned her attention towards making sure everyone knows that as well.
Nothing I said had to do with Taylor. So what jabs? White media and their tactics. So sad. That's what they want. https://t.co/AfcwoyDvpg
