Late only Lineup

Games starting at 9:40 or later

SP-Chris Heston-San Francisco Giants: Heston is 9-5 on the season after getting a win over the Phillies in his last outing.  His strikeout numbers can be unpredictable, but his overall efficiency and a good matchup at pitcher-friendly Petco are enough for me to give him the ball at his 8,200 price tag. Heston has had one good and one bad outing against the Padres already this season.

SP-Kendall Graveman-Oakland Athletics: I’ve liked Graveman all season as a breakout candidate and have been through plenty of ups and downs with the young righty out of Mississippi State.  He faces a tough Toronto lineup tonight, but he was rolling along before a rough start in Cleveland to finish the first half. Graveman allowed two runs or fewer in six consecutive starts prior to that outing, and he had been providing good innings going at least seven innings in each of those six starts.  Graveman will look to bounce back tonight as he takes on Mark Buehrle and the Jays.

C-Josh Phegley-Oakland Athletics: Phegley usually starts against lefties so expect to see him in the lineup against Buehrle tonight.  He’s 20-63 (.317) against southpaws this season with four doubles, four homers, and ten RBI.  He connected for a long ball in his last start which came Sunday against Minnesota going 2-3 with two runs scored and three RBI.

1B-Albert Pujols-Los Angeles Angels: Pujols hit three homers in the double-header yesterday and now has five long balls this month and 29 on the season.  Pujols is hitting .260 on the season after going 4-7 yesterday.

2B-Joe Panik-San Francisco Giants: Panik is 8-16 (.500) since the All Star break and has scored six runs.  All eight of those hits have been singles, but he continues to be a solid lineup starter for the Giants. He is 3-11 (.273) in his career against San Diego’s scheduled starter Odrisamer Despaigne with a pair of doubles.

3B-Matt Duffy-San Francisco Giants: Like Panik, Duffy has been producing since the All Star break going 7-19 (.368) with a double.  Duffy is hitting .302 this month (19-63) and continues to anchor the middle of the Giants lineup.

SS-Jose Reyes-Toronto Blue Jays: Reyes is 21-62 (.339) this month, and he has hit safely in nine of his last ten games.

OF-Kole Calhoun-Los Angeles Angels: Calhoun has already hit three home runs since the All Star break going 6-13 in the Angels four-game sweep of the Red Sox.  Calhoun has been hitting well all month going 19-58 (.328) with five doubles and six homers so far in July.

OF-Matt Kemp-San Diego PadresKemp has posted 21, 9, and 21 DraftKings points in his three games since the All Star break going 5-10 with a pair of homers. Tonight, he and the Padres take on Chris Heston as he looks to continue his solid play since the first of June.
