27. Andre Reed
Wide receiver Andre Reed was a part of the Buffalo Bills AFC dynasty in the early 90s. Reed was a favorite target of Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly and the two combined for 65 touchdowns, a mark surpassed only by a handful of quarterback-wide receiver duos.
Reed came close to winning the Super Bowl with the Bills, playing in the game in four consecutive seasons. The Bills weren’t able to win the big game though, running into dominant Redskins, Giants and Cowboys teams.
Despite the lack of a ring, Reed has etched his name amongst the best wide receivers in NFL history and is near the top in a majority of the statistical categories. Reed is tenth in career receptions with 951, ninth in total career receiving yards with 13,198, and eleventh in total career touchdown receptions with 87. All those marks are the career records for a Bills player.
Reed also is close to some Super Bowl records. His 27 receptions in the Super Bowl are second only to Jerry Rice’s 33. Reed’s 323 total receiving yards are the third most in Super Bowl history behind only Rice and Lynn Swann.
Reed went to the Pro Bowl seven different times and was named a second-team All-Pro twice. Reed wasnt inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame until 2014.
