24. Paul Krause

Paul Krause is one of many Minnesota Vikings on this list and was part of the dominant teams of the 60s and 70s and the terrorizing defense known as the “Purple People Eaters.”

Krause has 81 interceptions over the course of his career, a record that still stands nearly 40 years after he retired. That’s right, Krause had more interceptions than Deion Sanders, a lot more, 28 more in fact.

He returned those 81 intereceptions for 1,185 yards and three touchdowns.

Over the course of his career, Krause went to the Pro Bowl eight times and was named an All-Pro just as often. Krause missed just two games over the course of his career.

Krause and the Vikings came close to winning the Super Bowl numerous times. During his career with the Vikings, the team made the Super Bowl four times. He contributed in those Super Bowls, getting an interception and a fumble recovery in two of those Super Bowls.

Krause is one of 11 Vikings players that suffered through all four of those Super Bowl losses, and he isn’t the only one of the 11 to make the list.

In 1998, Kruase was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
