2. New York Yankees

The last two could have gone either way. I guess I dislike the Dodgers a little less than the Yankees. Nearly everyone on the planet recognizes the “NY” logo, which represents the Yankees organization. That’s branding, and good branding at that.

There isn’t much to say here. I would love to rank the Yankees lower, but to deny them the second spot would be unfair. These uniforms will likely never change, and they should not.

The Yankees do deserve credit for wearing batting practice jerseys for some Spring Training games—something the Detroit Tigers do not do.

It may seem to go against what I believe, but I like the BP jerseys in Spring Training, as it makes for an obvious time to wear altered gear. And sporting regular season uniforms makes them just slightly less special during the regular season.

Again, branding is one of the things the Yankees have done exceedingly well. Why would or should they change it? It would be foolish.

If they wanted to get cute, I could see them going with a white brim of the cap at some point at home. But I can’t see anything more drastic.
