A new synopsis for Spectre has been revealed for James Bond fans to chew on ahead of the November release date.

We are still months away from the release of Spectre, the 24th James Bond film, but we’re starting to hear more and more about the film to get our juices flowing.

Already we’ve been given a few trailers and a TV spot to chew on, but the updated synopsis seems to give us a better look at just what we’re dealing with in the upcoming film. Fans already have a pretty good idea of what is going to go down, and the new synopsis for the film seems to confirm what we think we already know about the film.

Here’s a look at the official synopsis:

"A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond (Daniel Craig) on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal.  Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE.Meanwhile back in London, Max Denbigh (Andrew Scott), the new head of the Centre for National Security, questions Bond’s actions and challenges the relevance of MI6, led by M (Ralph Fiennes). Bond covertly enlists Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw) to help him seek out Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White (Jesper Christensen), who may hold the clue to untangling the web of SPECTRE. As the daughter of an assassin, she understands Bond in a way most others cannot. As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns of a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks, played by Christoph Waltz."

The rumor is that Waltz will be playing the former guardian of Bond, thus connecting his current life as MI6’s most dangerous weapon with his past life pre-secret agent. It’s a fascinating backstory that looks like it will be explored, and the synopsis only further pushes us in this direction.

As far the whole involvement of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. in the film, the synopsis seems to confirm that MI5 and MI6 are going to merge and that M is going to be going head-to-head with Andrew Scott’s character in a move that S.P.E.C.T.R.E. more than likely has a hand in to weaken the powers that be.

Spectre will hit theaters on November 6, 2015.
