Miami Heat star forward Chris Bosh looks more than ready for the NBA season.

It’s been six months since Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh has been able to take the court at full capacity. By the looks of it, he’s been using that time wisely.

Bosh posted a photo on Instagram of a workout with Dwayne Wade and some other teammates on Monday. Apparently, Bosh has been getting in plenty of work in the weight room and looks noticeably more muscular than he did during the regular season, via iamheatnation.

When Bosh was found to have blood clots on both of his lungs in late February, the immediate concern was with his overall health rather than if he would be able to return to the court. Bosh was hospitalized for over a week and missed the rest of the regular season, but the news has been positive since then.

Despite the initial belief that he wouldn’t be able to return to on-court activities until September, Bosh returned to training without any restrictions in early June and says he will be ready for Miami’s regular season opener on Oct. 28 against the Charlotte Hornets. It looks like Bosh won’t need much time to get back up to speed physically and could be poised for an excellent season with the added muscle.

The Heat were in contention for the final playoff spots in the East before Bosh and other players went down with injury. With Bosh and Wade healthy, Miami has a strong starting lineup, and first round pick Justice Winslow could be ready to contribute right away.

Miami has the core to be very competitive in the weak Eastern Conference. Bosh has to be a part of that for the Heat to be successful, but he looks ready to be better than ever.
