The Washington Redskins are not a popular pick to reach the postseason. After last year’s utter disaster with head coach Jay Gruden leading the way to a 4-12 finish, most believe Gruden and quarterback Robert Griffin III are on the road to oblivion.

Then this week, Gruden gave us one of the moments that the second it happens, you realize it is what people will remember by after he gets canned in October. Talking to CSN Washington, Gruden spoke about players needing to avoid listening to the media, before discussing how he listens to the media.

"“I listen to it a little bit, I read a little bit; some articles. I have to be up to date so when I come up here I know what is going on,” Gruden said via CSN Washington. “And I really dislike the guy who called me a fat a–, that really ticked me off. I don’t mind you critiquing my coaching style but to make fun of my weight, that’s unfair. I’m only 225. Jesus.”"

It’s not nice to call someone fat, but he’s a grown man. I’m sure Gruden gets bombarded by worse insults than that during home games.

Apparently, Gruden was referring to this insane tyrade from Scott Farrell of CBS Sports Radio, who teed off on Gruden after he left Griffin on the field agaisnt the Detroit Lions this preseason. Griffin took huge shots throughout and ultimately sustained an injured shoulder and a concussion. Gruden then defended his decision, saying he was looking to get the offense moving. Farrell didn’t care, per CBS Washington.

"“It’s deplorable. It’s disgusting. It was repulsive,” he said. “I do not consider that man a head coach any more in the NFL, he’s a joke. I hope you’re in your car listening to me right now, you fat a–. You are despicable because you just let that happen to your star quarterback. And don’t tell me you know more than me because you’re some head coach; you’re an idiot! You’re a moron! I don’t care who you are. No one does that to a star player in the NFL except you, you loser! You’re an absolute loser!”"

Two things can be gleaned from all of this. Farrell is borderline insane, and Gruden is husky.
