Big Ten Football 2015 season preview and predictions
Biggest Dark Horse – Minnesota
Every year the Minnesota Golden Gophers are overlooked in the conference. Thanks to playing in a weak West Division, the Gophers have a shot at winning it each season, and with no clear front-runner in that half of the Big Ten, Minnesota could be headed to the Big Ten title game this season.

Although it may seem unlikely that the Golden Gophers would emerge from the West this season, there are just three teams that they would have to beat out, most likely, in Nebraska, Wisconsin and Iowa for the title.
Minnesota returns eight starters on both sides of the ball, as well as its kicker and punter from last season. Bringing back all of that talent from an 8-5 squad that finished just one game from winning the West last year can only bode well for 2015.
Jerry Kill has become one of the best coaches in the Big Ten for making the most out of what he has at a place that isn’t exactly a prime recruiting hotspot.
Although it will hurt to see versatile running back David Cobb and tight end Maxx Williams go, the Golden Gophers are returning most of their starters. This team has a chance to really shock some people and be one of the best defensive squads in the conference.
Watch out for Minnesota. The Gophers are no pushovers.
