Charlotte will challenge Nikki Bella for Divas title at Night of Champions

After winning the Beat the Clock Challenge on RAW, Charlotte vs. Nikki Bella is set for Night of Champions

WWE Monday Night RAW from Tampa, FL featured the first ever Divas Beat the Clock Challenge as a continuation of the Divas Revolution. The three members of Team PCB—Paige, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch—all competed in the challenge with the winner becoming the number one contender for Nikki Bella’s Divas Championship.

Becky Lynch was up first, defeating Alicia Fox in three minutes and 21 seconds. Next up was Charlotte, who ran through Brie Bella in just one minute and 40 seconds. Paige was the final competitor to have her match, but failed to beat Sasha Banks in under Charlotte’s time. Now the Divas Championship match is officially set for Night of Champions:

It’s less than surprising that Charlotte is the one getting the nod to challenge for the Divas title. Not only is she one of the most gifted wrestlers in the company, but being the daughter of Ric Flair certainly doesn’t hurt her marketability in the slightest.

The real question is where they go from here with the Divas. Do they have Charlotte defeat Nikki at Night of Champions? Do they get Sasha involved in the title picture? Will they keep shoving six-Diva tag matches down our throats? This is pretty obviously a turning point for the Divas Revolution and the answer to those questions could determine whether it’s successful or not.
