16. Hunter Pence-OF-San Francisco Giants: The Giants have not had a good week and have lost six in a row after last night’s 11-3 loss in Denver.  They also announced yesterday the loss of Tim Lincecum for the season.  Tonight, they’ll try and put all that aside and get back in the win column as they face Jorge De La Rosa at Coors Field.  The top Giants bat to own against De La Rosa based on previous history is Hunter Pence who is 7-22 (.318) with a pair of doubles, a pair of home runs and seven RBI against De La Rosa in his career.

15. Adam LaRoche-DH-Chicago White Sox: The White Sox managed to avoid the sweep at the hands of the Twins yesterday afternoon, but now they have to travel to Kansas City and take on their division-rival and division-leading Royals.  Tonight, they’ll face Kris Medlen who Adam LaRoche faced often when both were in the NL East.  LaRoche is 6-18 (.333) against Medlen in his career with a pair of doubles, a home run, and two RBI.

14. Ruben Tejada-SS-New York Mets: The Mets have opened up a six game lead over Washington the the NL East after taking two of three from the Phillies earlier this week. Tonight, they’ll open a series in Miami as they take on Tom Koehler and the Marlins.  Ruben Tejada is worth a look as a value SS in this matchup since he has gone 7-20 (.350) with four doubles and seven RBI in his career against Koehler.

13. Todd Frazier-3B-Cincinnati Reds: In an NL Central matchup where nothing is on the line but pride and staying out of the cellar in the division, the Reds and Brewers meet in Cincinnati this weekend.  Matt Garza gets the start tonight for the Brewers which sets up well for several of the Reds’ hitters including local hero and home run derby champion Todd Frazier.  Frazier is 6-19 (.316) with three homers against Garza in his career, so he makes a nice option at the hot corner today.
