Spectre has been given the Lego treatment and it’s as awesome as you’d think.
With the release of Spectre right around the corner, the world is getting James Bond craze once again. It’s not sustainable hype, as only Bond hardliners are interested in the franchise in between movies, but now is the time to strike with your James Bond creativity.
That’s exactly what someone out there with a lot of time on their hands did. You’ve seen the teaser trailer for Spectre, but you haven’t really seen it until the human actors have been replaced by plastic legos.
It’s not the most recent trailer, but that doesn’t take away any of the awesomeness from what was thrown together here.
This sort of makes us wonder why there isn’t a James Bond Lego video game like there is for basically every other film franchise out there. One of the best times I’ve ever had was playing Lego Star Wars with my brother back in the day, and it was clearly something that wasn’t exclusive to just us. The world has fallen back in love with Legos, and film franchises are making bank on not only sets based on the films but on video games as well.
There’s enough story here to break up a Lego James Bond video game into multiple installments, and it’d be something that every Bond fan would flock to. To play as Lego versions of classic characters and play through classic moments would be fun on the next level, and hopefully this trailer can show someone out there that we need a Lego James Bond video game. For now though, we can kick back and enjoy this gem, with hopefully more to come.
