Fantasy Football: 5 sleeper plays for Week 1

3. Terrance Williams vs New York Giants
The Dallas Cowboys ran a lot last season, which was great for quarterback Tony Romo as it kept him fresher than he had been. Given that the backfield lacks a DeMarco Murray-level talent, I suspect we’ll see more passing this season, if just for that fact.
Williams is the guy across from Dez Bryant in most base sets and that’s a darn good place to be. Bryant is Bryant, and no matter how much you cover him, he’ll get his. However, at some point Romo needs to pass somewhere else and while tight end Jason Witten is a favorite target, Williams gets plenty of passes thrown his way and was the third most targeted player on the team.
This matchup is particularly tasty because the New York Giants’ secondary is already in tatters due to injuries and other issues. The front seven isn’t all that great right now, especially when you match it against the tremendous offensive line that Dallas possesses.
Williams’ explosive speed should be a nightmare for the Giants to contain, especially when they will probably have to focus more on Bryant so that he doesn’t kill them.
Williams should be a very solid No. 3 wide receiver in fantasy leagues and he’s a decent value as a third wide receiver who can perform in a daily fantasy format.
Over at FanDuel Williams is priced at $5,300 this week, which makes him a mid-tier receiver for the site this week and a decent value. Draftkings has him a bit lower at just $4,000. Williams is a bit boom or bust, so keep that in mind as you set lineups, but he has a nice ceiling and a reasonable floor this week.
