Baseball season is in its final stretch of play. October is just a few weeks away and we are staring fall right in the face. While many people are getting excited about the start of football, others are gearing up for MLB postseason races and the World Series.

It might work out that those who are excited about football are the same fans who have seen their favorite baseball teams basically eliminated from playoff contention.

There’s still plenty of action on the diamond to go around and some players are still vying for a shot to lead the league in hitting, home runs and/or RBI.

For some MLB stars, though, the 2015 campaign will be one to forget. Many top players came into the season with the intent of leading their respective team to a World Series title, or just having a career-year, but they have fallen far short of their goals, and, therefore, consider this season a disappointment.

Many players have just failed to even make a mark on the season. Some guys come into play in the middle of September and barely have anything positive to show for their 2015 season.

Sure, there are players who exceeded expectations by coming out of nowhere to lead their respective teams in hitting, but the guys on this list are the exact opposite.
