James Jones-WR-Green Bay Packers (30.7%)

James Jones and Aaron Rodgers are reunited and it feels so good for Jones and his fantasy football value. Last season after leaving Green Bay, Jones stumbled to a rough season in Oakland and then joined the Giants where he was unceremoniously dropped before the season started.  With Jordy Nelson’s season-ending injury in Green Bay, the Packers needed a veteran option and Jones was ready for his return.

The reunion is going well so far as Jones caught all four passes thrown his way on Sunday against the Bears including two that went for touchdowns.  He had a third touchdown called back to an offensive penalty but still managed a solid 51 yards while playing almost all the snaps as the team’s third receiver.  Jeff Janis and Ty Montgomery who were gathering fantasy momentum before Jones’ signing only played one snap each in week 1.

Jones fantasy value going forward will be a little uneven since Aaron Rodgers likes to spread the ball around, but he definitely has the trust of Rodgers and is one of his first looks in the red zone.  Green Bay hosts the Seahawks in week 2’s Sunday Nigh Football matchup in what should be one of the best games of the week.  Jones is definitely startable as a WR3 or flex play and should be added in all leagues.
