8. Alex Rios-Of-Kansas City Royals: There are several Royals with good numbers against Justin Verlander including Alex Rios.  Rios has gone 17-46 (.370) in the past against the Tigers righty with four doubles, two triples, and seven RBI.

7. Colby Rasmus-OF-Houston Astros: Houston will look to right their ship after dropping four straight to the Rangers and eight of their last ten. They’ll host the Athletics this weekend and will open their series tonight against a struggling Felix Doubront.  The Houston hitter with the best history against Doubront is Colby Rasmus who is 7-17 (.412) in his career against the Athletics lefty with two doubles, two triples, a home run, and four RBI.

6. Chris Iannetta-C-Los Angeles Angels: While he has become more of a backup in the late part of the season, the Angels may try and get Chris Iannetta a start tonight against Mike Pelfrey who he is 6-13 (.462) against in his career with a home run.  If Iannetta starts he could be a nice sleeper play behind the plate.

5. Jose Bautista-OF-Toronto Blue Jays: The second Blue Jays slugger to consider for tonight (along with #10 Edwin Encarnacion) is Jose Bautista. In his career against Red Sox starter Rick Porcello, Joey Bats is 10-25 (.400) with a home run and five RBI.
