Marshawn Lynch was active for Sunday’s game against the Bears, but he wasn’t on the field to start the game and had to leave early after his hamstring continued to bother him.  While Lynch was sidelined, Fred Jackson was expected to get most of the work, but instead it was undrafted free agent Thomas Rawls who put together an impressive game and is on the fringes of relevancy on the fantasy football waiver wire this week.

Rawls ripped off 104 yards on his 16 carries against the Bears and looked like he could be a solid back to own if Lynch misses time.  If you have Lycnh and want an insurance policy, invest in Rawls or if you’re in a deep league where you have to go in early on potential fill-ins like this.

With Lynch healthy, Rawls will only get a few carries, but if Seattle gives him an extended look he could be a huge addition to your fantasy team.  At this point, he’s a high-risk, high-reward pickup who is a stash that could pay off if Lynch misses time with either his hamstring issue or his calf injury that caused him to be questionable coming into Sunday’s game.
