Rishard Matthews-WR-Miami Dolphins (16.1%)

The top receiver widely available this week is Rishard Matthews of the Dolphins who has started the season strong and emerged as a weapon in Miami’s pass-heavy attack.  Ryan Tannehill has thrown the ball a lot the last few weeks as the Dolphins have been forced to play from behind which has resulted in healthy amounts of targets and opportunities for Matthews.

This week, Matthews caught a pair of touchdowns against the Bills hauling in six passes for a total of 113 yards. It was his second and third touchdown of the season and his second straight week with over 100 yards receiving.  While Jarvis Landry gets a lot of passes underneath, Matthews has stepped in as a deep threat that can stretch the field and offer Ryan Tannehill a second option in the passing game.

This week, the Dolphins will “host” their AFC East rivals from New York as they take on the Jets in London which means Darrelle Revis will probably be locked in on Landry which should result in more of the offense flowing through Matthews.  He’s definitely emerged as a flex option and continues to creep up on legitimate starting status especially as bye weeks start to come up.
