Ted Ginn Jr.-WR-Carolina Panthers (8.3%)

If you’re forced to hit the waiver wire and Matthews has already been scooped up, you’re going to have to take a bit of a long shot.  While Marvin Jones, Leonard Hankerson, Reuben Randle, and Louis Murphy all have some upside and will be covered later this week, Ted Ginn Jr. has the most immediate potential and can help your fantasy team right away.

The Panthers have been crushed by injuries at wide receiver with Kelvin Benjamin out for the season and Jerricho Cotchery now ailing as well.  The thinning of the depth chart has resulted in Ted Ginn Jr. getting a steady diet of targets from Cam Newton and emerging as a home run fantasy threat.  He has been targeted seven, nine, and six times in the Panthers three games this season finishing with a total of ten catches and 188 yards to go with a touchdown.  This past week was his biggest yardage total yet as he posted 93 yards  on his four catches including an impressive 55-yard reception.

Ginn has big play potential every week, and as long as the targets keep coming his way he can be used as a boom-or-bust flex play.  This week, he and the Panthers head on the road to Tampa to face the struggling Bucs, so Ginn deserves some attention if you need immediate plug-and-play help from the fantasy football waiver wire.
