2016 NFL Mock Draft: Week 3 edition
By Dani Bostick
The Miami Dolphins have made some moves in the last few years to strengthen their defense, drafting defensive ends in several recent drafts and acquiring Ndamukong Suh in the offseason.
The Dolphins secondary, however, continues to underperform. Brice McCain is decent, but other members of the secondary, like Reshad Jones, have already seen their best years.
Tre’Davious White will be a welcome addition to the Dolphins secondary and help balance out their defense. LSU is not only a cornerback, he is also a punt return specialist, though in that capacity he has made some questionable decisions this season as well as some incredible, game-changing plays.
The Tigers are on fire this season, and White is swept up in that momentum. He already has 16 tackles in the first three games of the season and a slew of big plays that have helped propel his team to victory.
At 5’11” he is tall enough to be a menace to opposing wide receivers, but still agile enough to make quick, crafty plays on the field. In his first two seasons, White has 88 tackles, four interceptions, and 13 passes defensed. If he can use 2015 to become more focused and improve his decision-making, he will be able to contribute immediately– and reliably– as an NFL rookie.
