55. . S. Ohio State. Von Bell. 29. player

The Pittsburgh Steelers took a lot of heat in the 2015 draft for picking outside linebacker Bud Dupree in the first round instead of a player that could add depth to their ailing secondary.

The Steelers logic was not faulty. A dominant front seven can only help the secondary. The team also drafted cornerback Senquez Golson in the second round who due to an off-season injury is unable to play this year.

The rapidly-aging Will Allen does not have many more years in the NFL, and Mike Mitchell, though effective so far this season, has been very injury prone.

Von Bell of Ohio State would be a terrific addition to the Steelers, a team that has acquired some highly productive Buckeyes recently in Cam Heyward and Ryan Shazier.

In 2014 Bell had six interceptions, 92 tackles, and six passes defensed in 15 games. His 2015 season looks to be even more impressive. Bell has 21 tackles, six passes defensed, and an interception so far this year.

An impressive red zone interception worth checking out. Amazing reach and concentration.

Bell is 5’11” and 205 pounds, about average for an NFL safety. Well above average among his college peers, however, is his ability to read plays accurately and understand coverages, a point of improvement since his 2013 season.
