FanDuel week 4 picks-Fantasy Football
High Value Quarterbacks
Andy Dalton (7,600): Dalton has been impressive in the early stages of the season averaging almost 24 FanDuel points per game which ties him with Cam Newton for second only behind Aaron Rodgers. Dalton posted a season-high 31.32 last week against the Ravens while throwing for 383 yards, three passing touchdowns, and also adding a rushing touchdown. He’s also in a great matchup this week against the Chiefs who despite their pass-rush have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing QB’s this season. The Bengals aren’t known as a team that throws a lot, but they are showing they have some nice weapons in the passing game and I think they’ll be able to attack a struggling Chiefs’ secondary this week who will be playing on a short week after losing Monday night in Green Bay.
Derek Carr (7,000): Carr is a great sleeper for the second week in a row as he leads the Raiders into Chicago. Carr has looked great in his two games that he has played in their entirety this season. In week two, he threw for 351 yards and three touchdowns in the Raiders win over Baltimore, and last week he followed that up with 314 yards and a pair of scores against the Browns in Cleveland. As he takes on a struggling Bears defense at Soldier Field, I expect Carr’s sophomore surge to continue as he continues to utilize the solid weapons that Oakland has placed around him. I have been very impressed with Carr and think the Raiders are headed in a very positive direction for the first time in a long time.
Blake Bortles (6,800): Bortles and the Jaguars took a beating last week in New England and now head to Indianapolis where they’ll face an Indy defense that has struggled this season. Bortles did throw for multiple TDs last week for the second week in a row and finished with 242 yards total. The Colts are depleted a bit in their secondary, and Bortles has some nice weapons in his two Allens-Robinson and Hurns. I still like Carr much better than Bortles as a sleeper this week, but if you are looking for an option cheaper than Carr, Bortles is the way I would go.
Kirk Cousins (6,100): Cousins is a flier pick this week as he and the Redksins host the Eagles. He shredded Philadelphia last season, and he actually hasn’t has horrible numbers this year even though it’s been painful to watch at times. He threw for 316 yards against the Giants last Thursday, but only for one touchdown. He has yet to throw for multiple TDs in any game this season, but the Eagles defense has been beatable through the air so that could change this week. He’s nothing but a flier, but he is one that has potential to pay off unlike the other ultra-cheap options this week.
Last Week: Tyrod Taylor, Derek Carr, Nick Foles
