Quarterback Week 4 sleepers

Andy Dalton-Cincinnati Bengals (FD-7,600, DK-5,900): Dalton has been among the highest scoring QB’s through three weeks in the season but is still relatively affordable.  He has busted on fantasy owners before which may be why his expectations are still relatively low even as he takes on the Chiefs today who have allowed more points to opposing QB’s than any other NFL team in ESPN standard scoring.  Dalton is coming off a monster game last week in which he threw for three touchdowns and 383 yards and added a fourth touchdown on the ground.  He has been excellent so far this season and is a big reason for the Bengals 3-0 start, and he should be lined up for a big game today as Cincy looks to move to 4-0 by picking up the win at home.

Derek Carr-Oakland Raiders (FD-7,000, DK-5,300): The Raiders have suddenly become a great source of fantasy football sleepers.  This week, Carr and the Raiders can move to 3-1 if they can get a win on the road against the Bears. Chicago has allowed the seventh-most points to opposing QB’s and will be on a short week after getting beaten by Seattle on Monday Night Football.  Carr has looked good in the two games he has been able to finish this year throwing for 351 yards and three touchdowns against Baltimore in week 2 and following that up with 314 more yards and a pair of scores last week against Baltimore.  The Raiders are headed the right way, and in a good matchup I think they’ll keep rolling this week in Chicago.

Jameis Winston-Tampa Bay Buccaneers (FD-6,400, DK-5,100): If you have to go even cheaper than Carr, Winston is the ultra-cheap option that I like the most this week.  He and the Bucs will host the undefeated Carolina Panthers in week 4.  Last week, he threw for a season-high 261 yards against the Texans ferocious pass rush and threw a touchdown and an interception.  He probably won’t post a crazy-huge game, but he’s a solid cheap option who will start in a home game.

Week 3 Picks: Marcus Mariota, Derek Carr, Nick Foles
