SS- Corey Seager

The Los Angeles Dodgers are back in the postseason for the third straight season and thankfully for them they don’t have to face the St. Louis Cardinals quite yet. If the Dodgers are going to break through to their first World Series since 1988, it may be a good idea to have rookie Corey Seager in their lineup and on their roster.

Seager was one of the best prospects in the game, and they finally unleashed him at the major league level in September. All he did was post a .337/.425/.561 in 27 games with four homers and 17 RBI. This is after hitting .293 with 18 homers and 76 RBI in 125 games at the minor league level.

The 21 year old will be an improvement over what Jimmy Rollins gave them at shortstop this season. The veteran only hit .224 in 144 games with a .643 OPS. Rollins could serve in that veteran pinch hit bat off the bench that it seems like every good team has. Maybe they can catch lightning in a bottle with him?

Seager is going to be a part of the Dodgers lineup for years and years to come. They finally brought him up in September and there is no reason why he shouldn’t be starting in October. His bat could be a catalyst to an offense that was seventh in OPS, but had the second worst team batting average of any team that made the postseason.
