Theo Riddick-Detroit Lions (10.4%)

The Lions fell to 0-4 after their loss to the Seahawks on Monday Night Football.  One of the reasons for their struggles has been their lack of ability to get anything going on the ground.  Joique Bell has struggled all season and missed this week with an injury, but Ameer Abdullah hasn’t done much since a memorable week 1 performance. The only running back with a clearly defined role that he has excelled at is third-down and passing down specialist Theo Riddick.

Riddick has only two rushes total in four games this season, but he has 20 catches which is the second-most in all of the Lions’ offense.  He has converted those 20 catches to 175 yards and a touchdown, and he has at least five catches in each of his last three games.

Especially in PPR leagues, Riddick makes a smart pickup since he is actually low-risk due to the volume of work he has picked up.  Even when he doesn’t get huge yardage or a score, his sheer number of catches makes him an option to consider.
