Fantasy football-Week 5 sleepers
Wide Receiver Week 5 sleepers
Kendall Wright-Tennessee Titans (FD-5,900, DK-5,400): The Bills are the third-worst team in the NFL against fantasy WR which sets up well for Kendall Wright to post a good game as he and Marcus Mariota host Buffalo. Wright put up a dud in week two with just two catches for 17 yards but his other two games have been great with four catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in week one and seven catches for 95 yards and a touchdown in week 3 against the Colts. Wright is a great value option this week and is especially low-priced on FanDuel compared to the other comparable receivers.
Kamar Aiken-Baltimore Ravens (FD-5,800, DK-3,800): Aiken will be the Ravens top receiver this week with Steve Smith sidelined with his back injury. After a quiet start to the season, Aiken had good game last week finishing with 77 yards and a touchdown on five catches. The Ravens will probably go run-heavy against the Browns, but when they do throw it, Aiken has a good chance to lead the team in targets making him a cheap flier worth taking this week.
Willie Snead-New Orleans Saints (FD-5,300, DK-3,000): Snead is a great value as he continues to grow into a larger role with the Saints. He was the second receiver last week based on snaps and targets finishing with 89 yards on his six catches. He has at least 40 yards in every game this season and is quickly becoming a fantasy threat. This week, he’s in a good matchup against the Eagles’ struggling secondary.
Jamison Crowder-Washington Redskins (FD-5,200, DK-3,500): Crowder was targeted a whopping 12 times in Washington’s week 4 win over the Eagles finishing with seven catches for 65 yards. His big game didn’t come out of nowhere though since he had six catches for 45 yards in week 3. With DeSean Jackson and Jordan Reed both ruled out for Sunday’s game, Crowder is a great sleeper play who should get lots of work against a vulnerable Atlanta secondary.
Keshawn Martin-New England Patriots (FD-4,500, DK-3,000): If you need a receiver at the minimum, Martin is an intriguing option since New England spreads the ball around pretty well, and he’s quickly found his way into the rotation after the team acquired him from Houston. Martin caught three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown in his Patriots’ debut, and hopefully the bye week gave him even more of a chance to work his way into the offense. Martin is a huge risk as a total flier, but he’s the best rock-bottom value among the week 5 sleepers.
Week 4 Picks: Larry Fitzgerald, Pierre Garcon, James Jones, Percy Harvin, Reuben Randle, Marvin Jones, Ted Ginn Jr. Seth Roberts
