Luke Kuechly ready to return for Carolina Panthers
Linebacker Luke Kuechly has cleared concussion protocol and is able to practice with his team again.
The Carolina Panthers are one of six teams in the NFL that are undefeated and playing some incredible football so far this season. At 4-0, it’s incredible that they’ve been able to do this without linebacker Luke Kuechly manning the middle linebacker spot for past three games due to a concussion.
Kuechly received some pretty great news recently: that he’s been cleared by all concussion protocol.
With his return to practice this week, it couldn’t have come at a better time as on the road against Seahawks could be quite the challenge thanks to the atmosphere they’ve created at CenturyLink Field. History hasn’t always been on the side of the Panthers when facing the Seahawks, so if they indeed get Kuechly back in the lineup that gives them a much needed edge – the Panthers are 0-4 against the Seahawks over the past three years.
Kuechly, the best inside linebacker in football, will solidify Carolina’s defense nicely. A.J. Klein has done a pretty good job filling in for him as so far, totaling 18 tackles, nine assists and an interception so far this season. In just one game played this season, Kuechly has totaled one sack and seven tackles. He will surely add to that total once he gets back into the starting lineup against the Seahawks.
