Dirk Nowitzki fails on the golf course

Dirk Nowitzki failed at the “Mavs Masters” on Wednesday.

Dirk Nowitzki has one of the smoothest and prettiest shots in the history of the NBA, but let’s just say that’s not the case when it comes to the golf course.

Nowitzki and his hilarious attempt at the beautiful game was caught on video by the Dallas Mavericks’ social media team during the team’s “Mavs Masters” event at Hackberry Creek Country Club on Wednesday and they did us all a favor by sharing it to the world on Vine.

I’d like to extend a major “thank you” to the Mavericks’ social media team on behalf of the internet for providing us with this amazing footage, which has already been looped over 444,000 times.

The future hall of famer looks way out of his element on the links.

First off, he is dressed all wrong as he sports a backwards Texas Rangers hat, a t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up, sneakers and what look some type of denim shorts. And it’s all blue.

While hilarious, Nowitzki is a good sport about his sub-par golf skills. After taking a practice swing, he connects with the ball and either he or someone close to him yells, “BOOM,” before he turns around and smiles as his friends chuckle.

Now, I don’t play golf much, but from my experience with not knowing the correct way to swing a golf club, I’d venture to say Nowitzki hardly ever picks up a club either. The dude looks like me when it comes to hitting a tiny ball towards a tiny hole with a tiny club face. It’s not a good look.

But he didn’t go full Charles Barkley on us, so that’s definitely… something.
