High Priced Quarterbacks

Tom Brady (8,100): Brady continued his demolition of the NFL with another big game last week throwing for 275 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ romp over the Brandon-Weeden-led Cowboys.  He added a rushing TD to give him four straight games with over 25 DraftKings points.  He has been the highest scoring QB by a wide margin so far this year which is why he’s the most expensive option.  Whether the Patriots use the controversy for extra fuel or not, Brady should be primed for another big game since the Colts have allowed at least 298 passing yards in each of the last three weeks and multiple passing TD’s in three of their last four.  Brady is the best QB money can buy, but it will force you to be creative and find some sleepers if you ride the Brady train this week.

Eli Manning (6,800): Manning came through big time on Sunday Night Football throwing for 441 yards and three touchdowns in the Giants win over the 49ers. Manning did much of that work without Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle who left with hamstring injuries, but Manning still led the Giants on a game-winning drive hitting Larry Donnell with the game-winning pass. This week, he and the Giants have to go on the road to Philadelphia on Monday Night Football. Last season, Manning threw for only one touchdown against the Eagles in their two contests, but he has settled in nicely to the new offense installed at the beginning of last season and has at least 19 DraftKings points in each of the last four weeks.

Carson Palmer (6,600): The Cardinals crushed Detroit last week and Palmer only attempted 14 passes completing 11 for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Palmer has multiple touchdowns in all but one of his games this season and has posted at least 18 DraftKings points in each game this season.  As the Cardinals face a porous Steelers secondary, he should be ready to turn in another good statline.  The Steelers have allowed at least 20 fantasy points to opposing QB’s in three of their five games this season, and Palmer should be set up to reach that level this week even though he’s on the road with a Western team coming east.

Week 5 picks: Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Philip Rivers
