Team Defenses

Arizona Cardinals (3,600): Michael Vick has only turned the ball over once since taking over for Pittsburgh, but the Cardinals have proven themselves to be among the best ball-hawking teams in the NFL.  They forced four turnovers and scored two defensive touchdowns in week 3 against the 49ers and last week they forced six turnovers by the Lions. They have at least 14 DraftKings points in three of their last four games and should be a tough test for Vick this week in Pittsburgh.

New York Jets (3,100): The Jets come off their bye week as they host Kirk Cousins and the Redskins who turned the ball over twice in their loss to Atlanta including a pick-6 that was the walk-off winner for the Falcons. The Jets D looked good in London against Miami, and they’ll be ready to put pressure on Cousins and Washington which should result in a solid stat line.

Philadelphia Eagles (2,900): Philly’s D has been up and down this season, but last week they looked good forcing four turnovers and adding five sacks in their win over the Saints. Their 14 DraftKings points gave them at least that many in two of their last three games, and they’ll face Eli Manning and the Giants this week on Monday Night Football. While Eli Manning has been rolling lately, there’s always a chance that he will be “Bad Eli” and turn the ball over, so the Eagles are worth a look at just under 3K this week.

Detroit Lions (2,500): The Lions D was horrible last week picking up just two sacks while allowing 42 points to the Cardinals and actually losing DraftKings points. However, they did have a good week two weeks ago in Seattle and should be able to get better results this week against the Bears who have given up more DraftKings points to opposing defenses than any team in the league.  It’s risky, but if you have to go cheap the Lions are the best ultra-inexpensive play

Week 5 Picks: Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars
