Fantasy football: FanDuel week 6 picks
High Value Wide Receivers
Allen Robinson (6,700): Since a letdown to start the season in week 1, Robinson has been a regular on my list and has delivered solid numbers. On Sunday, he had a pair of touchdowns while catching seven passes for 72 yards. He has at least four catches and 65 yards in each of his last four games, and he should be able to post a solid game on Sunday against the Texans who allowed a big game to Andre Johnson when the Colts came to town last week.
Anquan Boldin (6,500): The 49ers offense has been inconsistent this season and at times almost unbearable to watch. However, if you watched last Sunday night’s game, you could tell Colin Kaepernick finally looked like he was getting things together in the second half. When he did, Boldin was his go-to receiver as he hauled in eight passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. This week, the 49ers get a visit from Boldin’s old team the Ravens who have been getting shredded through the air this season. Look for Boldin to put together a solid game if Kap continues to have things going the right direction.
John Brown (6,100): Brown and the Cardinals are in Pittsburgh this week taking on the Steelers suspect secondary. Last week, Brown caught his first touchdown since week one while finishing with 73 yards on four catches. He remains a reliable part of the Arizona passing game, and is a low-risk play at his price range with some upside if he can get into the end zone again this week.
Ty Montgomery (5,800): As the Packers host the Chargers, they expect to get Davonte Adams back in their receiving corps and still have James Jones and Randall Cobb available as well. With all those options, Montgomery’s biggest task will be finding a way to get targets from Aaron Rodgers again this week. Last week, he had four catches for 59 yards and a touchdown. He has a nice skill set to produce once he has the ball, so he’s worth a gamble if you think he’ll get the ball in his hands this Sunday.
Marquess Wilson (5,400): With Eddie Royal and Alshon Jeffery both hurt, Wilson served as the Bears’ top WR this past week finishing with 85 yards on six catches including a touchdown. If either or both of the Bears injured WR are out again on Sunday, Wilson is a nice value play coming off two weeks in a row with six catches and 80+ yards from Jay Cutler.
Stefan Diggs (4,500): Diggs made his NFL debut in week 4 for the Vikings against the Broncos and finished with an impressive six catches for 87 yards while leading the team in targets with 10. He was playing due to injuries to Charles Johnson and Jarius Wright, but he and Teddy Bridgewater definitely exhibited a connection which could earn him more playing time going forward. If he does play this week, he’s in a great matchup against the Chiefs who give up the most fantasy points to WR in the NFL.
Keshawn Martin (4,500): Martin was on the field for 50 of 59 snaps for New England last week and seemingly has passed Aaron Dobson as the team’s second starting WR. He only drew two targets on Sunday catching both for 23 yards, but if the Patriots do in fact run up the score Martin could be more involved this week against a vulnerable Colts secondary. Martin is a flier play, but he’s one that could pay off if you have to go cheap at WR.
