Tight Ends

Rob Gronkowski (8,200): Gronk had a relatively quiet week against Dallas catching four passes for 67 yards and no touchdowns. That should change this week, though, as the Patriots look to pound the Colts.  Last season, Gronk caught a touchdown pass both times New England played Indy, and he should be ready to return to the end zone this week.

Greg Olsen (6,300): If you can’t afford Gronk, Olsen is a solid alternative play at a salary almost 2,000 lower.  He takes on the Seahawks this week who actually rank in the bottom five in the league defending the tight end which could set up well for Olsen who remains Cam’s best receiving weapon in the Carolina attack.

Tyler Eifert (6,000): Eifert had a pair of scores last week catching eight passes for 90 yards against Seattle.  This week he takes on the Bills who also have struggled with opposing tight ends although they’ve improved after some early season embarrassment by the Pats in week 2.

Delanie Walker (5,400): Walker was tied for the team lead in targets last week against Buffalo despite a quiet four-catch, 36-yard performance.  Expect him to bounce back as he and the Titans take on Miami this week.

Zach Ertz (5,000): Ertz takes on the Giants this week who rank third-from-last in defending opposing TE for fantasy football.  Last week, Ertz finally delivered on the preseason hype catching five passes for 60 yards.  If he and Sam Bradford continue to develop a connection, Ertz could be an emerging top-ten TE in the coming weeks. His good matchup and still-low price make him a solid bargain play for the second week in a row.
