4. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are at home and taking on the Miami Dolphins in Week 6. Both teams are 1-3 heading into this matchup, but you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who has watched the NFL even just slightly thus far this season that would say that the Dolphins have been more impressive than the Titans over each team’s first four games.

With home-field advantage and the way both of these teams have looked, it shouldn’t come as a shock that the Titans are favored by a point against Miami. However, the events leading up to this game have me questioning why that spread is so low and if the Titans are in danger of getting upset on their home turf.

The first major thing that Tennessee has working against them in Week 6 is the fact that none of their backs have been able to find sustained success in the rushing attack. It’s been a struggle for this team to get the ball moving on the ground. Secondly, Marcus Mariota is a rookie quarterback. He’s been impressive and has all the makings of something special in this league, but rookie quarterbacks are unquestionably susceptible to a letdown game or poor performances in seemingly favorable matchups.

More than anything for the Titans, the Dolphins have a shot in my book because of the departure of Joe Philbin. Obviously this doesn’t change the talent of the players or even necessarily the scheme in place. However, it could change the overall chemistry and vibe of this team and they could be out to get Dan Campbell’s interim reign as head coach off to a winning start.
