Denard Robinson-Jacksonville Jaguars

If Andrews isn’t the way you want to go or if you need an even cheaper play, check on Denard Robinson who is at the bottom of the salary structure in daily leagues (DraftKings-3,000, FanDuel-5,100) and is available in 89% of ESPN leagues. Robinson hasn’t played since week 2, but he could be in for a sizable workload against the beatable Texans this week.

Robinson sprained his MCL in week 2, but he did have seven touches in week 1 for 45 total yards. Since he has been injured, rookie T.J. Yeldon has served as the team’s top back and has played fairly well.  Yeldon suffered his own injury last week and is questionable for this week against Houston.  If Yeldon can’t play or is limited, Robinson could get a ton of work and serve as the team’s primary back along with Toby Gerhart.

Last year, Robinson showed he can be productive in spots running for over 100 yards a couple of times and scoring four rushing touchdowns in a four week span.  He did start one game against Houston running for 30 yards on his ten carries in week 14. He’s a long shot play, but if Yeldon is ruled out it may be time to roll the dice on “Shoelace” as the Jags try to bounce back from a tough loss last week as they host Houston.
