Stefon Diggs-Minnesota Vikings (3.0%)

Diggs was a hot name early on Sunday morning, and he was featured in my wide receiver sleepers even before he was thrust into the starting lineup.  It wasn’t necessarily injury that earned the rookie from Maryland his playing time on Sunday, and he showed his potential and his ability with a second big game in a row as Teddy Bridgewater’s new favorite target.

Diggs played his first NFL game the week before the Vikings’ bye hauling in six of his ten targets for 87 yards.  The Vikings were short on receivers in that contest, but had everyone back for this week which could have shuffled Diggs back to the bench. Instead, though, he was front and center getting the start and hauling in seven passes on his nine targets and finishing with 129 yards receiving. Diggs hasn’t gotten into the end zone yet, but he is definitely opening eyes with his recent play.

With Mike Wallace not clicking with Teddy Bridgewater, the second-year QB has gravitated to Diggs, and the former Terp has delivered.  Look for Diggs to stay as Minnesota’s go-to in the next few weeks which includes some nice matchups against the Lions, Bears, Raiders, Packers, and Falcons.  If you need receiver help, Diggs is the top name to claim from the fantasy football waiver wire.
