High Priced Running Backs

Adrian Peterson (7,600): The running back I like the most oat the top of the salary structure for the second week in a row is Adrian Peterson. Peterson didn’t go off last week running for 60 yards on 26 carries against KC, but I expect him to bounce back this week as the Vikings go to Detroit who AP gauged for 134 yards on the ground in week 2 while adding 58 yards on a pair of catches.

Justin Forsett (6,100): Forsett had over 100 all-purpose yards against the 49ers and had a season-high seven catches.  He has put up three good weeks in a row and the extra day until Monday Night Football should ensure his ankle is healthy and ready to go.  It’s not a great matchup against the Cardinals, but Forsett is a solid option given his recent performances.

Latavius Murray (6,100): The only other RB over between 6-7K that I think is a good play for the money this week is Raiders’ back Latavius Murray.  Murray struggled against the Broncos and Bears before the bye, but he’s in a great matchup this week against the Chargers.  Murray will get a heavy workload and I expect him to bounce back well.

Chris Ivory (5,800): The Jets have been running the ball extremely effectively while the Patriots’ run defense has looked vulnerable when other team’s have had the chance to attack it.  They actually rank fairly well because team’s are usually forced to throw so much, but if the Jets stick with Ivory on Sunday he could be lined up for a good game.

Week 6 Picks: Adrian Peterson, Matt Forte, Dion Lewis, Chris Ivory
