Kirk Cousins engineered the greatest comeback in Washington Redskins history with a last-minute touchdown pass.

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins had the best game of his career in an epic comeback win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers blew a 24-point lead while letting Cousins complete passes left and right. Cousins completed his amazing campaign with a clutch touchdown pass to tight end Jordan Reed for six yards. His touchdown pass came with 24 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Here is a video of Cousins’ most clutch moment of his career.

Cousins threw for 317 yards and three touchdown passes on 33-of-40 passing, and he also rushed for a touchdown toward the end of the first half. This marked the Redskins’ first score of the game, which gave them momentum in the second half. Cousins went on to throw two touchdown passes in the third quarter before making his third one the charm. Reed caught 11 passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns. Reed has emerged as a solid weapon for Cousins as he has been able to remain healthy throughout this season.

Cousins has clearly been the better option at quarterback for the Redskins, as they struggled with Robert Griffin III as their starter. The Redskins defense came through as well on the Buccaneers’ final drive. The Redskins put the final nail in the Buccaneers’ coffin by recovering a fumble from running back Charles Sims, and they achieved their biggest comeback in franchise history. They now hold a 3-4 record, and they will head into their bye week with momentum on their side.
