Tickets to the World Series between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Mets, are reportedly the most expensive World Series tickets ever.

With two dominant baseball teams, the hype for the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets in the World Series has been absolutely unreal. With lots of excitement and buzz in the air for the two teams squaring off for the World Series, everyone wants a ticket to the grandest stage of them all.

With such a high demand, World Series tickets are reportedly the most expensive that they have ever been. According to ticketing website TiqIQ, the get in price for this World Series comes at an average of $1,437 dollars.

There’s many factors that go into the World Series pricing for tickets. Besides the obvious of it being the World Series, having the New York market in the World Series, means a rabid fan base and baseball city willing to shell out whatever it takes to get in the stadium.

The three games in New York, Game 3, Game 4 and Game 5, are all the three most expensive tickets of the series with an average price of $1,684.69.

The cheapest games to get into, are the first two games of the series at Kansas City, where the cheapest tickets are $232 and $282. Should this series go six or seven games, and with the talent of these two teams, that would be no surprise, Game 6 and Game 7 in Kansas City, would also be almost expensive as the three games in New York.

The previous record holder, was the 2010 World Series between the Texas Rangers and San Francisco Giants. With the resurgence of the New York Mets and the Royals building one of the best teams in baseball, there’s a reason that this series is as hard as any ticket in World Series to get hands on.
