DraftKings fantasy football picks: week 8
Tight Ends
Tyler Eifert (5,300): With Gronk off the board for this week, Greg Olsen will be very owned and for good reason as the Panthers take on the Colts on Monday Night. However, I like Eifert better at 1,300 less than Olsen. Eifert is actually averaging more fantasy points per game this season and he’s in a better matchup taking on the 29th-ranked defense against fantasy TE in Pittsburgh. Eifert has three touchdowns in his last two games and is extremely involved in the Bengals’ passing attack.
Jason Witten (5,200): In his first game with Matt Cassel at QB, Witten had six catches for 73 yards against the Giants leading the team in targets, catches, and receiving yards. This week Dallas hosts the Seahawks who have suddenly forgotten how to cover tight ends and are allowing the second-most points in the league to opposing TE. Witten is a solid play in the late afternoon game in week 8.
Delanie Walker (4,100): Walker had a good week last week with Zach Mettenberger at QB, and he will get another game with Mettenberger under center as the team goes to Houston. Walker usually leads the team in targets, but he hasn’t found the end zone since week 1. Still, if you need a non-expensive tight end, Walker is the way to go.
Clive Walford (2,600): If you have to go cheap at TE, there aren’t a ton of value options, but one of the younger unproven options getting a bigger role in his offense is Clive Walford of the Raiders. Last week, Walford hauled in both passes thrown his way for 42 yards and a touchdown. He’s getting more looks, but as a rookie at tight end there is going to be some inconsistency and uncertainty as he adjusts to the NFL.
Week 7 picks: Gronk, Antonio Gates, Travis Kelce, Delanie Walker, Ladarius Green
