Fantasy football week 8 sleepers: 5 wide receiver sleepers
Tavon Austin-St. Louis Rams
Whenever you take Tavon Austin on your fantasy team, you have the potential for a monster game. Austin has the playmaking ability to explode for a long touchdown any time he touches the ball, although he doesn’t get tons of targets or touches to make him valuable every week of the season.
St. Louis does seem to be making a concerted effort to get him the ball, though, and he has at least five touches in every week this season. He usually gets a carry or two to go with his catches and has five total touchdowns on the season including one on a punt return.
Last week he led the team in targets with seven and also in receiving yards with 43. He added 21 on his one carry finishing with over 60 total yards for the second time in the Rams’ last three games. Even in the Rams’ run-first attack, Austin is finding a way to make plays.
Austin is cheap on DraftKings (4,600) and FanDuel (5,300) this week despite a very favorable matchup against the 49ers struggling defense. He’s available in 55% of ESPN leagues, so if you are feeling lucky roll the dice with Austin this week
