Kamar Aiken-WR-Balitmoure Ravens (20.6%)

The Ravens lost Steve Smith Sr. for the season with a ruptured Achilles’ tendon, and after their bye week Kamar Aiken is lined up to be their top wide receiver.  Aiken will be their only proven option and should get plenty of passes thrown his way the rest of the season.  Aiken has shown flashes this season, but he’ll need to be more consistent to be a fantasy lock going forward.

Aiken did look good in week eight catching all six passes thrown his way for a total of 62 yards.  He also had three other games this season with at least 60 yards, but has four games with under 25 yards too.  The inconsistencies should level out going forward due to the volume of passes that he’ll see without Smith on the field.

The only reason Aiken isn’t my top WR pickup this week is that he is on a bye this week and won’t be able to offer anything until week 10.  He also doesn’t have much experience being the #1, go-to option, so we’ll have to see how he grows into the role.  When Baltimore comes off their bye, they’ll get a great matchup against the Jaguars, so target Aiken on the fantasy football waiver wire if you’re looking for help in week 10 or beyond.
