Nate Washington-WR-Houston Texans (5.7%)

Washington returns to our list for the second week in a row as he continues to emerge as a fantasy WR option.  Houston’s offense has sputtered at times this season, but Brian Hoyer has stabilized the Texans’ attack and made DeAndre Hopkins and Nate Washington both fantasy relevant.

After a hamstring injury cost him weeks 4-6, Washington returned with a boom dropping 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the Dolphins who were focus only on taking Hopkins out of the game on the other side.  Washington returned to the end zone again this past week catching four passes for 74 yards against the Titans.  With teams continuing to turn their attention to shutting down Hopkins who is emerging as an elite receiver, Washington should keep finding room to operate and be in the WR2 or WR3 mix the rest of the season.

Washington won’t help your team this week, however,  as he and Houston are on a bye in week 9.  There’s the possibility that Cecil Shorts will return after the team’s bye which could cut into his workload, but right now Washington is so dialed in that he’s a great stash moving forward.  If he’s still available in your league and you’re set through the bye this week, Washington is a nice pickup candidate.
